 Readathon Fundraiser +

Lights Off, Torches On Celebration Event

Each year, the CSPS P&C hosts a Readathon - one of our favourite events that encourages a love of reading while raising valuable funds for our school.

During the Readathon, each child will receive a logbook to record their daily reading. Students are invited to seek sponsorship from friends and family, either as a per-page amount or a one-off donation. Logbooks will be distributed via classroom teachers at the beginning of Term 2.

Donations will go towards important improvements and resources for the school - the P&C has committed to raising $60,000 for new seating and shade in the playground. We already have $35,000 saved - this Readathon will help us work towards reaching the remaining goal. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

Families can also choose to fundraise online by creating a page and sharing it with friends and family:
https://www.mycause.com.au/events/cspsreadathon2026

The Readathon team will combine any cash contributions recorded in logbooks with online fundraising totals. We will collect cash and take card payments in the first week of June every morning before school.

Key dates:
• Readathon runs from Monday 4 May – Friday 29 May
Lights off celebration: Tuesday May 12th from 5pm
• Donation collection (cash or card) will take place at the Readathon Desk in the playground each morning from Monday 1 June – Friday 5 June

Prizes:
• Raise over $20 – receive a special eraser
• Raise over $50 – receive a special pen
• The two classes who read the most pages will enjoy a mufti day
• The top reader in each class will receive a book - a big thank you to Gleebooks for generously donating the prize books.
