P&C Pledge Request: Playground Wishlists
Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, we were thrilled to fully fund our teachers’ wishlists this year using $8,500 raised through the Readathon! These funds went directly towards purchasing new textbooks, decodable readers, whiteboards, and essential classroom resources—a fantastic result that has had a direct impact on student learning.
We have been working to upgrade the playground surface for safety and the area behind the kindy block for a while now and are still working through some complex processes. In the meantime we are turning our focus to improving our drinking stations and fundraising for additional playground items like covered walkways.
What we’re wishing for and why:
New Bubblers Installation
Upgraded bubbler near the hall: This would replace the current unit and include bottle-filling stations and a chiller, making it easier for students to stay hydrated. Our current bubblers can be temperamental and are very low for taller students. A chiller for their drinks bottles is a pretty nice treat in increasingly hot summers.
New bubbler on the bottom playground: There is currently no bubbler access in this area, so this installation would provide hydration for students during play and sport and also for our before and aftercare students.
Covered Walkways
We’ve identified a very practical need for covered walkways between buildings. These would make moving around the school in wet weather safer and more comfortable, while also providing extra shaded outdoor areas during hot or sunny days.
These improvements involve complex planning and funding, and while we are applying for grants and have allocated some funds, we are now seeking your support through pledges to help make these much-needed upgrades a reality.
Every pledge, big or small, makes a difference. With your help, we hope to not only deliver these projects but also fund additional enhancements in the near future.

To be placed outside the hall to replace existing bubbler station.

To be placed on the lower playground where there is currently no access to bubblers.

Covered Walkways
One of the things all this rain has highlighted is the difficulty students and staff have accessing different buildings in the rain - including the toilet block.
One of our wish list items is to bring in some walkways. Application and planning is in progress.

FAQ
Can I pledge to just one project?
Right now, we’ll likely fund the bubblers first since we already have approval and it’s a quick win before summer. Before buying anything, the P&C will review and vote on it so if you’re keen to have a say on the final decision we welcome new members. We also need to follow department guidelines, and the bubblers are one of the approved items to move forward with. The walkway is a new request, and we’re still working through that process, and seeing what we can create that will work in the space and potentially bring in some new elements.
