MINI MAKER MARKET
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH
5PM - 630PM
APPLICATIONS CLOSED
The Crown Street P&C will be supporting a mini-makers' market during the Movie Night on 20th September. Students are invited to submit ideas to show off their creative talents to the school community.
Students will be expected to supply their own materials and make their items at home, and bring them in on the day of the market. They can choose how to price and sell their items, and all profits will go to the student. The P&C will provide tables and support on the evening. Additional parent volunteers would be very welcome! We encourage students to choose ideas that are environmentally sustainable.
The P&C will provide tables and black tablecloths that will be likely set up in the COLA for the market that will run from 5pm - 630pm before the film is screened. You can also start taking photos of the goods and we will start advertising on Crown St social media channels if you feel comfortable with that. Your child should also start thinking about how they would like to decorate their table to attract more customers and show off their creativity. Each child will get a half of a large trestle table and will get to use table space that is 400 cm x 900 cm.
You’ll need to consider a cash float or payment methods. Cash would be simplest, but not as common these days. PayID can be set up by a parent or else you can purchase a Square reader that can be connected to a smart phone. Your child will likely need help organising this from you but we are happy to help where we can!
Places will be limited. It is possible that some children will be asked to combine into one stall.
If your child is interested in participating, please submit a response by September 10th. Need help? Email: hello@crownstreetpandc.com.au. We will respond to your application and confirm if it was successful. We hope not to disappoint anyone but we will have a limit of space. Thank you for your understanding.
